Ethiopia is experiencing a revolution of the spirit. Instead of the discord of the past, Abiy Ahmed, the new Prime Minister of Ethiopia is sewing seeds of peace and healing that our more powerful nations could take lessons from. Already in his short tenure he has given heart to his people by reunited Ethiopia and Eritrea after a 20 year war. His charismatic and loving approach is winning the hearts of all Ethiopia’s many tribes and religions in an unprecedented way. For the first time in decades an Ethiopia head of state is in the US, not for political appearances, but to re-engage Ethiopian’s diaspora in the US. Abiy is in Washington DC today, Sunday in LA, and Monday in Minneapolis (another huge population of Ethiopians and Somalis in the US.) We wish this heartfelt turn of events to light a light in these days of global and planet uncertainty in our beloved Ethiopia and around the World. Halleleuh!
And look...they came back with more precious family and friends. Such a treat! ❤️❤️
What a wonderful lunch we had. These beautiful kids adopted from Ethiopia and their families came to eat. The 3 on the left were born in Neeraj’s birthplace of Ghimbi. What a treat! ❤️
